Meet Alyssa
I sat down with the intention of writing a friendly letter to my readers, introducing myself. But have you ever written about yourself? NOT EASY! Lol. I’m pretty sure I’m not as boring of a person as I feel like in this moment! So instead of a letter, I’ll give you an interview, written by me, and answered by me ...Birthday: July 2nd, 1980
Height: 5’ 4”. I was 5’ 5 1/2", but somehow, I shrunk during pregnancy!
Weight: You think I’ll tell? Ask me again when I’ve lost weight! A lot of it.
Eyes: Hazel
Hair: Currently Golden Brown (and I think I'm done with dying my hair). Despite the picture above, it's very curly and getting long.
Shoe size: 8 1/2
Favorite dessert: Anything chocolate and I do mean anything!
Favorite drink: I drink a gallon plus of homemade ice tea a day.
Favorite meal: I wish I could say chocolate again, but since I can’t, anything Italian. I especially love lasagna and stuffed shells, but only the kind I make.
Favorite color: Purple.
Favorite sport: Running my mouth, especially while on the phone, and knowing it all.;-)
Favorite show: Sex and the City, followed closely by The Girls Next Door and Law and Order: SUV.
Favorite movies: The Notebook, The Mummy, War of the Worlds, Fried Green Tomatoes, plus I love movies that are so stupid you have to laugh.
Favorite reads: Whitney, My Love, by Judith McNaught. This book made me laugh, made me cry, made me laugh-cry. No other book holds a candle.
What have you done in your lifetime? I graduated from high school, went to college for two years, got married, raised my two stepsons, bought two homes, self educated myself on being a writer, had a baby, became a e-writer, and in 2005, I fulfilled my dream of being a writer with a NY house. Not all at once, mind you. I’ve also traveled to Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Canada, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
What haven’t you done in your lifetime? I have never flown or traveled anywhere I could not in a car. I never went on my honeymoon. In fact, I’ve never been anywhere too exciting except in my writing. But I plan too!
How many words do you write a day? I've been known to get 3000 words or plus written in a day, but keep in mind, at that point, my words are far from perfected. My weekly goal –which I feel is of utmost importance for any author to set--is 12,000 words a week. Honestly, I could do more, most times I want to do as well, but promotion and editing takes more time than it has a right to!
