Sent to Atlantic City to retrieve an ancient artifact vital to the future of his clan, gargoyle Remy Rocher meets sexy selkie Marina Bell and ends up getting shot for his efforts. Now he has to find the chalice and keep Marina and himself alive—all while dealing with the hottest sex of his life and emotions that scare him more than evil wizards or mobsters with guns.

Hello everyone and welcome to the 2nd ever Slip Between the Sheets! If you're just discovering this new feature of mine, I hope you enjoy it and also take the time to read the last week's, featuring Jonah from Joey W Hill's A Mermaid's Kiss.

With us this week is Remy Rocher from Cindy Spencer Pape's Stone and Sea. Released in August by Ellora's Cave, Stone and Sea is hot off the presses (the e-presses in this case!) and receiving some dynamite reviews. 5 Ribbons from Romance Junkies!

So welcome, Remy! Since I always like to cut right to the chase, let's start with a visual—of what you sleep in at night!

Remy: A bed, usually.  Oh, you mean clothing? Why on Earth would anyone do that?

Alyssa: LOL. Oh, so we have a smart aleck. Well then, two can play at that game! Say, I hear you're dying to have kids. Right, Mari?

Remy: Ack! Someday, I guess. Right now Mari and I are having too much fun.

Alyssa: What about wedding bells? I think I hear some chiming in the distance… Da dum dadum…

Remy: Not yet, but the idea is beginning to look a lot more appealing…

Alyssa: Awww…But okay, enough of the mushy stuff.  Let's have some fun! Say, what's your favorite sex position?

Remy: Any position where I'm getting some!

Alyssa: Hmmm… leave's a lot to the imagination—and with a body like that, a woman's creativity is bound to go into overdrive. Do you work out? Watch your diet?

Remy: I'm active, I like to do things rather than just lift weights. Surfing, skiing, rock-climbing, flying—did I mention I have wings in my gargoyle form? Not much for dieting, but I guess a good metabolism is one of the perks of being a gargoyle.

Alyssa: If that's the case, turn me into rock! So, if you're a gargoyle, does that mean you're a day person or do you prefer the night?

Remy: Definitely night. During daylight hours I'm in my gargoyle form, which is fun, but not great for being unnoticed.

Alyssa: Being stone all day must really cramp your work schedule, but I see you're a comic book artist & graphic novelist. Interesting! Tell me about why you made this career choice.

Remy: Well, of the four of us who grew up together, I was always the class clown. I used to draw caricatures to make the other stone-faces laugh once in a while. Eventually it evolved into a career. And it's one you can do without going into an office every day. I like that. Especially since I spend my days with wings and granite-colored skin.

Alyssa: You've got me smiling for sure! And speaking of friends, who's the best bud you've ever had?

Remy: We were always a foursome, so it's hard to pick one. In our clan, children are rare, so when four of us were born the same year, it was a really big deal. We're all as close as brothers.  You might have met Damien St. Pierre if you read Stone and Earth, and then there's Beau DuMont, and Marc Armel. I'd lay down my life for anyone of those guys.

Alyssa: Well I hope to meet them all one day! Sadly, we've arrived at the final question in this interview. Remy, looking back at your life, what's the best decision you ever made?

Remy: Going to Atlantic City, meeting Mari, and falling in love with her.  That little selkie is by far the best thing that ever happened to this screw-off gargoyle.

Alyssa: Well put! I'm sure Mari is smiling ear-to-ear…and humming the Wedding March while mentally naming off kids (Just kidding…I don't even know if Mari wants kids. Mari, join us sometime and dish!)!

I want to thank you for joining us, Remy. You seem like a fun guy for someone who spends half his time as stone and I wish you and Mari all the best (and many little ones, bwhahaha!)!
