Slip Between the Sheets with…
Ross Lovell, from Doing Thyme by Kate Hill
Out now! www.ellorascave.com
In a high-security prison on future Earth, Thyme has fallen for convict Ross. After release, he plans to extend his punishment by signing on as manager of a lab on an uninhabited planet. Thyme believes Ross deserves a second chance. The only way to convince this wounded alien crossbreed that he’s meant to be loved is to follow him to the planet.
Ross knows the potential for violence still lurks within him. Over the past four years his prison counselor has provided comfort and stability he’s never experienced before. When she becomes his unexpected guest, that love turns to lust. He and Thyme surrender to the all-consuming passion between them but disaster threatens to steal their happiness and their lives.
Hi and welcome to yet another Slip Between the Sheets! First off, an apology. In my last blog, I announced a contest and promised to select the winners Monday. Oops! But I swear, I’ve got a good excuse--meet Honey, the newest edition of the family:
Honey is a Sheltie mix, three months old and not housebroken. She came to live with us on Monday and well…she’s a real sweetheart, but I’ve had maybe six hours sleep since. Total. So if I’m not quite up to par, look at her cute pic, sigh and please forgive me!
And now, to announce the winners! Drum roll please…and the recipients of the 2008 EC card decks are:
Mary McCoy and Natasha Brown
I’ll be in contact for your addies soon.
Now onto another great interview and CONTEST! This week were talking with the decadently dangerous Ross Lovell from Kate Hill’s Doing Thyme. Doing Thyme sounds really intriguing and I can’t wait to read it!
So Ross, welcome! After reading that blurb, I’m curious. How do you act when angry?
Ross: You really want to know the answer to this? Before finding out about my alien side and learning how to control it, I was extremely violent when angry. That is why I ended up in prison. Now, after years of therapy and medication that helps control my alien side, I'm no longer violent, but I still can't help fearing that part of me will take over again.
Alyssa: In that case, I’m glad I’m meeting you now—wouldn’t want to push your buttons being nosy! But it’s my job to dig deep, so here I go again! Pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, sloth…the seven deadly sins. Which is your weakness?
Ross: Wrath, but I'm working hard on fixing that.
Alyssa: So, you're the manager of Jefferson Ten observation lab. After all that you’ve been through, why did you make this career choice?
Ross: Jefferson Ten is on an uninhabited planet and because of my background it is the perfect place for me. I don't want to hurt anyone again, and if I'm alone then I'll never have the chance.
Alyssa: That sounds very lonely. What about friends? Looking back on your life, who was the best friend you ever had?
Ross: Thyme Westcott. She is the only person who ever really took the time to understand me and even more important, she helped me to understand myself.
Alyssa: Aw. Thyme must be a really special and compassionate person. I can’t wait to meet her in Doing Thyme! This story sounds intense!
Readers, if you’re like me, you’re intrigued to find out more about Ross’s dark past and how he falls in love with this incredible woman! Be sure to check out the excerpt on Kate Hill’s website at www.kate-hill.com. Or better yet, buy the book at www.ellorascave.com!
